and love being in Murray!
But when you have been in one place for that long
things begin to wear out and break.
It seems that has been happening a lot lately.
It started when my kitchen faucet started
spraying out the side. We ignored it for a while,
then Harold put electrical tape over the small hole.
That lasted for a few weeks, but then the leak got worse!

Courtesy of Harold along with the help of Brandon and Brad
we have a new kitchen faucet!
Last week I flipped the switch to our light/fan
and instead of the room being illuminated,
sparks and sizzling sounds occurred.

Courtesy of Harold along with the help
from the neighbors and several of my sons
there is a new light/fan in our family room!
But the biggest adventure in home ownership came
while Brandon was working on the sprinklers.
The main sprinkler valve broke and water would not stop.

First a hole had to be dug to get to the water main and sprinkler valve.

Then the old valve had to be removed!

A temporary valve had to be put in so we could have
water connected to the house until the
sprinkler valve could be replaced.
(They are smiling in this picture, but Brandon was
in that hole in for nearly 2 hours after dark
using flashlights to get the job completed.)
The adventure started about 4:30 p.m. and finished after 11 p.m.
The hole is gone and we have water,
but in shutting off the main water line
all three toilets stopped working.
Harold and Brandon worked hard
and now we have new plumbing going to each toilet!
Oh the Joys of Home Ownership!
