The Reason for the Season
Because we are able to Celebrate
the Birth of Our Savior Jesus Christ!
Gwen and I discovered that we have
19 Nativity Scenes in our Home!
Each one brings different emotions and memories.
Here are just a few to Enjoy!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Around the World
This year we have decided to learn about how Christmas is celebrated around the world. So far we have had Cougnou (Bread of Jesus) from Belgium, Chocolate letters from Holland, Beigli from Hungary, Stollen and a Gingerbread House from Germany, Buche de Noel (Yule Log) from France, A Visit from St. Lucia and Latkes and a Dreidel game to celebrate Hanukkah. It has been an amazing adventure and we have not had to Force this Family Fun!

Newport Beach Vacation
Harold, Lori, Elaine and Hansat the Newport LDS Temple
Uncle Bob and Lori
Harold and Lori on Captain Dave's Catamaran
A Pod of 700 - 800 Common DolphinsHarold and I spent 3-1/2 days in Southern California
with our friends, Hans and Elaine.
We had a great time relaxing,
eating good food and seeing a few sights.
We went to the Newport LDS Temple and
visited my Uncle Bob (who is not doing too well.)
The highlight of our trip was a catamaran ride out into the ocean
where we saw bottle-nose and common dolphins.
We came upon a pod of common dolphins
numbering between 700-800 which surrounded the boat.
They were amazing!

Hungarian Mud
got stuck in the mud while trying to take a short cut.
After many attempts to free themselves,
they finally were pulled to safety.
A lesson learned:
"DON'T TAKE NO SHORT CUTS"

Cottonwood Hospital Closing
CLOSING OF COTTONWOOD HOSPITALWhat an emotional week.
On Monday October 29, 2007
the new Intermountain Medical Center opened
and Cottonwood Hospital closed.
I think I have been in denial that it would really happen,
BUT IT DID!!!
Sunday evening we had a "Cry Party"
and most of the staff showed up.
This move has been very hard
because the people I have worked with
for over 21 years and are like family to me
are all going different places.
We all signed the walls of our break room
and how I feel was expressed there.
