Homecoming Dance

Tonight was Murray's Homecoming Dance.
So while I am staying up late, waiting for Brandon to get home
I thought I would post these pictures of him and his date.
My boys are very patient with me because they know
I want to document their entire life with pictures.
Whenever a dance comes along, they either
bring their dates to our house for pictures
OR let me tag along when they pick their dates up.
Tonight Brandon let me follow him to his date's home
and take some pictures before they went to dinner and the dance.
So here is Brandon and his Homecoming Date, Lindsay

Happy Birthday Gwen!

Gwen's Birthday is coming up soon,
but there wasn't a good time in October
to have her Birthday Party!
So Friday Night we took Gwen and 8 of her friends & cousins
to Boondock's for an evening of Fun.

I think Gwen had a fun time at her party.
Happy 10th Birthday (a little early!)

Six Unspectacular Quirks

Several weeks ago, my friend Tonya tagged me. The tag was to "Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours." So here goes:
1. I don't do tags very well -- mostly because I never know what to write.
2. I love Clark Gable. Okay many of my blogging friends probably don't know who Clark Gable is, but I have always thought he was gorgeous. In high school I bought a full length door poster that was on my bedroom door. A few years ago my mom found the poster. I now have it hanging in my laundry room which is where I spend most of my time!
3. I am a neat freak -- especially about everyone else's stuff! You would not know this right now because I am busy scrapbooking Bryan's mission and my house is a disaster!
4. I like to stay up late. That is one reason I am a night nurse! If I could have my favorite schedule it would be to stay up until about 2 a.m. and sleep in until about 10 a.m. Too bad my children don't let me have that schedule!
5. I like to color. One of the reasons I like being in Primary is that I love to color my visual aides. I have always like to color since I was a kid. I remember one of my first coloring books was all about the "It's A Small World" Ride in Disneyland.
6. I love Disneyland. If I could pick a favorite place to go on vacation it would be to Disneyland. Although I have loved traveling to England and the Middle East. I also look forward to our trip to Eastern Europe.
Okay that is 6 Unspectacular Quirks. Since I am not good at tagging -- if this tag interests you, please feel free to list your quirks and let me know so I can read them.

Another picture of Clark Gable ~
One can never have too many pictures of Clark Gable

Zeros & Stars!

This has been another busy week,
but the highlights include Zeros & Stars.
The past two Saturday afternoons have been spent
in Cougar Town (Provo's official name on Saturdays)
enjoying BYU Football.
And Zero has a been a big part of those games.
That has been the score for the opposition --
"0"
Way to go Cougars!

Blake received his Star Rank in Boy Scouts this week.
We are very pleased with the hard work
he has put into already be a Star!
I am just excited to know that all we need
to have all 5 boys done is one Life and 2 Eagles
(and one of those Eagles just needs a Board of Review!)

Fall Means Sports!

It's Fall and that means Sports! With 6 Children (5 of which are Boys)there are lots and lots of Sporting Events to attend. In fact when Gwen was 5 years old there was an article in the Salt Lake Tribune about her written by Rolly & Wells. It went like this:

"Mouth of babes. Because 5-year old Gwen has five older brothers who play sports, she has been hauled to football, basketball and baseball games. So when she was asked to read a scripture in her LDS ward and practiced the assignment at home, she confused her mother, Lori, when she stated the reference: "Fourth Nephi, Chapter 1, against 15." When Lori asked about "against," Gwen responed: "You know, like when two teams are against each other." That's when Lori realized Gwen meant "versus."

Here are some photos from some recent games:

Okay, you can't see Brad in this picture because he is behind #7.
I included this picture because of the ref.
I want Harold to get shorts like his! ;)

Only One in our Family

The YM in our ward decided to hike Mt. Olympus this weekend.
Participation was low with only 2 young men and the YM President.
Even with his busy schedule,
Brandon decided that this was something he wanted to do.
They left very early on Saturday and
hiked the 4 miles up and 4 miles back.
Brandon has now done something that no one
else in our family has ever done!
Way to go Brandon!!!
