"Puss and dawg nuh have di same luck"

"Puss and dawg nuh have di same luck"
In Jamaica that means
"Some people are luckier than others."
And Brandon is pretty lucky.
His Mission Call came yesterday and
the Mailman delivered it right to the door.
Brandon has been called to serve in the
Jamaica Kingston Mission
His mission includes Jamaica, the Cayman Islands,
the Bahamas and part of Cuba!
When Brandon went through the Jordan River Temple,
the Temple President told him,
"That's not a mission, that's a vacation!"

Everyone needs to send sunscreen!

Brad turns 16 and becomes a Priest

Brad had his Birthday last week and turned Sweet 16!
(Note the 16 fingers)
Brad was ordained a Priest on Sunday.
and of course we had Brownie Trifle for the Celebration.
If you were wondering . . .
That is a beard he is sporting
And he is pretty proud of it!
I think it is pretty impressive for a kid his age!
Happy Birthday Brad!

BYU Graduation - A Family Tradition!

Ben graduated from Brigham Young University
along with the other 6173 students.
He received his Bachelor of Science in
Physiology and Developmental Biology
with a Management minor!
Ben is the first 4th Generation Cougar to Graduate!
It took over 1-1/4 hours to read the names at Convocation!
Congratulations Ben!
Ben and Alyse at Graduation

Has it Really Been 33 years!?!

My Roomies were all in town this week
and we got to spend several hours together.
I was very blessed when I took a chance
and didn't live with a friend in the dorms.
Because of that I made 3 friends for life.
It was so fun to catch up on all of our lives!
I also realized I was the only one that didn't
marry a guy from one of our wards!
Lovies to Sone, Kim and Paula!

One Very Busy Life!

Gwen is very concerned that I have not been blogging lately.
That could be for a variety of reasons.
I would say it was because my life is crazy.
My family would say it is because I have been "farming."
What they don't know is that without "farming"
I would be totally crazy!
So to "prove" that life has been busy
here is sampling of what has been happening:
The Stake Patriotic Program . . .
Blake was part of the Flag Ceremony
and Gwen sang.
The Junior High Band Concert . . .
where Blake played percussion.
The District Band Concert . . .
where Brad played the Trumpet . . .and Blake played percussion in the audience.
(Here is Brad since you couldn't see him behind the trombone.)
Easter came and went!!
Blake played Jr. Jazz Basketball . . .
and is now playing soccer.Brad started track . . . and is throwing the shotand the discus.
Gwen did her State Report and Poster
on Maryland because that is where her "other family" lives.
Blake and Brad have been going to the Temple
to do Baptisms for the Dead.
(This is the "secret" entrance for the Salt Lake Temple.)
Alyse and Ben continue to get ready for the Wedding
and Alyse got this Ribbon Bonnet at the neighborhood shower.
Bryan is having lots of fun at college.
Bryan and Ben are moving from their apartment
where they have been room mates.
And Brandon has put in his papers
to serve an LDS Mission!!!!

I don't know about you, but I think that is one busy life!

All I can say is AMEN!!!

Zits is MY Life!!!

March Showers mean . . . April Weddings

This weekend the Princes and the Brockbanks
gave Alyse Bridal Showers to welcome her to the Family.
We had a great time with the Prince Girls (and J) on Friday Night
We ate and laughed and enjoyed each other company.
We were also very excited about Heidi's news!

"Around the House" was the theme for the Brockbanks.
The most clever gift was for the Bathroom --- Hers . . .
and His!
Alyse had to answer questions about Ben
and got a "bow" for each wrong answer.
(She did well since the questions were difficult.)
They received many lovely gifts including this picture of the
Salt Lake Temple with their names and wedding date.

We are so blessed to have such wonderful supportive families
and a new wonderful daughter joining us.
