This area where the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
was restored is filled with an amazing spirit.
Anyone who visits here knows that it is a special place.
We visited places we had been before
and went to new places as we drove to Jersey City.
We felt God's tender mercies all the way.

We visited places we had been before
and went to new places as we drove to Jersey City.
We felt God's tender mercies all the way.

Our first stop was the Hill Cumorah where we got to see Brandon. He is serving as part of the Work Crew of the Hill Cumorah Pageant.
Before the pageant started, the Work Crew built the stage.
Each night of the pageant, Brandon is in one of the light towers.
Part of his job is to "light" Christ each night. While in the Palmyra, New York area
we visited many Church History sites.
The Grandin Print Shop where the Book of Mormon was printed.
The replica of the Smith Cabin
The Smith Home where the Golden Plates wereonce hidden under the hearth.
The Martin Harris Home
The LDS Palmyra Temple
And the Sacred Grove
As we drove to Jersey City we stopped inOakland, Pennsylvania which used to be Harmony.
We visited the Monument to theRestoration of the Aaronic Priesthood
and the Susquehanna River.
Near the Monument was the cemetery whereEmma & Joseph Smith's first child is buried.
We visited Afton formerly South Bainbridge, New Yorkwhere Joseph and "Emily" got married.
(Too bad the sign is wrong.)
In Nineveh formerly Colesville we visited the Home of Josiah Stowell. It was while Joseph was working for Mr. Stowell that he met Emma.
and Joseph Knight Sr.'s Farm and the site of the Colesville Branch. What a wonderful opportunity to be in the places
where the Prophet Joseph Smith lived and worked.
And especially the Sacred Grove where the Father and the Son
appeared to him and began the Restoration of the Gospel.

It sounds like an amazing trip. I would so love to take a trip out there. But that might be a bit too far to drive in the RV. One day...
Sounds like you guys are having an amazing summer!!!
